Palliative Care for Homeless

Third milestone of our team is “Helping Hearts Hospice” for caring the uncared patients. This has been functioned since August 2015. Initially a ward was created in Coimbatore Govt. Hospital and uncared patients were taken care in terms of personal hygiene, sanitary, dress, food etc on daily basis. Around 80 patients have been recovered and handed over to their guardians or old age homes in and out Coimbatore. From Apr 10 2016 onwards with the support of Coimbatore Corporation a building is taken in Ukkadam, Coimbatore and the uncared patients are taken care for life.  Currently it’s a heaven for 20 sick people.

Facilities available, Activities and Services offered : 

• All patients are given a peaceful environment to live, medical facilities, regular doctor visits, 24/7 nurses on duty,  5 staffs 24/7 to take care.
• Regular outings to temples, park, etc
• Yoga and Meditation
• Patients are given hospital beds and all emergency medical equipments are available
• Food, milk and snacks are given as like house
• Hygienic sanitary is maintained
• Personal care given to all patients
• Only new clothes are given and cooked food are not allowed from outside
• Entertainment like TV, news paper, games, books are provided
• All patients are taken care like with so much love and affection.
